Weddings mostly off, engagements mostly on. So…bring them on! Like….let’s go hike through the hills of Malibu wearing white and heels and don’t forget the Cadillac…
This was so much fun I almost forgot what was going on in the world. Especially at the end when my amazing clients Zoe and Josh asked if @campercocktails and I wanted to sit in the car. Uhm, yes please! @campercocktails returned the following weekend to hike the 5 miles to the #mashshow location. I’m content sitting in the Caddy…and playing with film.

Continually inspired by this exceptional couple. I think I was destined to photograph their wedding. When I met them at a cafe in LA initially, I had no idea that Kris and I had crossed paths before. At the @napafilmfest I had taken my son to a screening of @greenbookmovie — we got one of the last seats in the furthest corner of the theater; it was packed. The film was incredible of course, and the music heartachingly beautiful. After the movie the screenwriters and the composer were interviewed. It turns out Kris was that composer. Who knew as I listened to him on stage that I would one day photograph his wedding to the love of his life. The universe is wonderfully mysterious…

Instead of the big wedding in LA we had originally

Instead of the big wedding in LA we had originally planned on, Jen and André got married on their intended wedding date on a secluded beach in San Francisco. With gorgeous weather, a stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and Jen’s best friend @hotchkiss_moi officiating, it was a one-of-a-kind day. The ceremony was followed by a picnic on the beach with individual picnic baskets (with cocktails!), and lots of shenanigans. I was with these two beautiful people when they got engaged, so happy to be with them on their wedding day, and look forward to photographing the “big” celebration — hopefully a year from the original date!
